A regular routine will help. One that you know gives you boundaries, and your body expects – without getting too rigid. Having some activity that always clears you – be it playing with others – pets, children, or a musical instrument – time ‘off from being a doing not a being – and looking forwards to – being able to slot time out to unwind. Some run, some fish, others walk: some knit, others paint – and whilst this sounds not productive – we all need balance – time to process.
Many cultures have ways to slow their breathing – this actually helps. At the same time – let us give the inner and the outer body a work out and a comfy spot and approximate this. This set of yoga poses – and slow allied breathing – is called Salute to the Sun.
