Essential for thyroid health (metabolism = running of the entire body) and all immune system – anti cancer/AIDS.

Major anti oxidant, and a component of the body’s master anti oxidant Glutathione.

Seen as being potentially dangerous, as only a minute amount is needed.

Is potentially blocked by plant uptake modern farming methods, especially use of fertilisers.

Almost half of the male body’s supply of selenium is concentrated in the testicles and the seminal ducts adjacent to the prostate gland.

Solution:

Found in Brewer’s yeast and wheat germ, liver, butter, fish (mackerel, tuna, halibut, flounder, herring, smelts) and shellfish (oysters, scallops, and lobster), garlic, whole grains, sunflower seeds, and Brazil nuts  – If soil is selenium rich.
